What is a Video Game
Movie? |
| Basically,
I played a game (20-100 hours depending on the game), I
recorded the whole thing, and then I edited it into a 2
hours long or sometimes longer movie. Personally, I
think many video games have great stories that are
better than a lot of movies out there. I really enjoy
watching the video games as movies without the need to
play through all those hours.
I know there are people
out there who sell video game DVDs that include all the
cut-scenes. However, those DVDs do not include battle
scenes and sometimes cut-scenes are just not enough to
allow the story to make sense. That's why in my video
game movies, they include all the
cut-scenes,
story or boss battles, and
any dialogue that allows the story
to make sense. Also, I include anything that is
COOL from the games. For example, in Final Fantasy
XII, I include all the espers (summoned beasts) in
there so people who don't have the game will not only be
able to watch the cut-scenes, but also watch all the
esper animation scenes. |

Are the movies FREE? |
YES, all
movies here are 100% FREE
to watch. All you need to do is:
1. Come to my website
2. Go to the MOVIE page you want to watch
3. Go to PLAY MOVIE and click on the episode to start
watching the movie. |

| How does
it work? |
| The movies
are uploaded to my web domain using Flash stream format
where you can watch the video right away without the
need to download it. I edited the movies into 10 minutes
per episode because larger files will take a long time
to render and upload. Basically, it's easier for me to
handle.
The movies here are hand
picked by me. Two of the most important things I look
for when picking a movie are storyline
and graphics. Therefore, the movies here have
great storyline and graphics. Also, most of them are the
popular video games like Final Fantasy,
Resident Evil, Shin Megami Tensei, &
Xenosaga. Therefore, the movies here have guaranteed
quality. |

Is this legal? |
| Honestly,
I do not know at this point. However, I have sent
messages to many free video sharing sites including
youtube.com, jumpcut.com, grouper.com, videoegg.com and
other 20 more sites asking them if there is any legal
issue. All of the replies came back saying that there is
NO LEGAL ISSUE. Many other users have been
posting video game cut-scenes, trailers, videos and so
on without any problem.
I believe there is no
problem. Because I bought the games, played them myself
with my own play through, recorded, and edited them into
hour long movies. I own everything and did not copy any
of the videos from anywhere else, therefore I should
have all the rights to share them to everyone else.

is Ivan. Yic17 is the nickname I created during college.
The concept behind Yic17 is that YI is my Chinese
middle name and also is the same sound as "WING"
in Chinese. IC equals to my initial. 17
equals to my birthday. You put them all together, you
get YIC17 OR "Wing 17". Why wing? Because I enjoy
freedom. I have
great interest in all kinds of arts including
illustration, graphic design, film, fashion, fine art,
and so on. I started drawing since I was 2 years old

enter Art Center College of Design as graphic design

I love RPG games like Final
Fantasy, Shin Megami Tensei, Suikoden,
Xenosaga and so on. I think they are creatively inspiring and always have amazing arts
and graphics. They usually also have meaningful,
emotional, and epic storylines that I love.
Another thing I love is
movies. My favorite movies are Fight Club, Eternal
Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Titanic, Ping Pong,
Infernal Affairs, Mind Game, Waking Life, and so on. I
plan for my future to become a movie director who
directs movies that will reach to lots of audience (EX:
Lord of the Rings) with deep meaningful messages and
lessons (EX: Crash & Babel) to raise the awareness of
people and to change the world towards goodness.
